Canada’s armed forces emerged from the ‘Unification’ uniforms of the Cold War era and returned to their traditional roots with distinctive work and dress uniforms for each of the armed services. Canada was also one of the earliest adoptees of the digital camouflage pattern – ‘CADPAT’ – which was adapted and adopted by the forces of several other nations, notably the Marine Corps of the United States and the armies of Italy and China among others.
